SamTrans and Caltrain are seeking volunteers to provide input on transit services and help address the needs of people with disabilities and other riders who may face barriers to accessible transportation.
The SamTrans Accessibility Advisory Committee (SAAC) advises SamTrans staff on current and potential needs, including service quality, planning, buses and bus stops. SamTrans also manages paratransit services in San Mateo County.
The Caltrain Accessibility Advisory Committee (CAAC) advises Caltrain staff on service quality, planning and station facilities.
Both committees meet quarterly, either in person at the San Mateo County Transit District headquarters at 166 North Rollins Road in Millbrae or virtually via Zoom. All meetings are open to the public.
People interested in volunteering or learning more can contact the Accessibility Specialist at 650-551-6125 or Accessible@samtrans.com.
