Caltrain riders in the Dogpatch and Potrero Hill neighborhoods are in for a welcome change of scenery in the coming weeks. The 22nd St. Station, which recently underwent curb improvements by our partners at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), is getting some more much-needed love. Thanks to support from the Dogpatch and NW Potrero Hill Green Benefits District, the station entrance on 22nd Street & Pennsylvania Ave is getting a landscaping makeover, including a resurfaced walkway and upgraded fencing. The project will commence on Monday, February 25, and is expected to last between three to four weeks. Construction will not impede riders from using the entrance to board southbound trains during operational hours. The entrance will only be closed during the weekend tunnel closure when bus bridge service will be temporarily replacing train service in San Francisco. For those who have previously used the walkway for scooter parking, scooter parking has been relocated adjacent to the entrance of the northbound platform. For questions about construction or station access, call Caltrain’s Construction Hotline at 650.508.7726.
